ATV Rentals Near Portage, Alaska

Our two pickup points are Girdwood and Anchorage, so there is no counter in Portage. Girdwood is the closer of the two by a wide margin, and a 24-hour pickup rental collected there gives you the machine for a full day on your own schedule.

The other option is a delivered trailhead package. We bring the ATV or UTV to the trailhead, fuel it, handle the park fees, then come back at the end of the day for pickup and cleaning. Every trailhead page publishes the exact meeting spot and a map pin, so you know where you are going before you commit.

From Portage the sensible picks are Bird Creek heading north, and the Old Sterling Highway route or Crown Point heading south down the Kenai.

If you would rather ride with a guide than on your own, the AKMUDITUP tideland tour meets at Milepost 75 Seward Highway, four miles from Portage. It is the closest thing we run to a Portage departure.

Where you meet us

We do not run a pickup counter in Portage. Collect a machine at Girdwood or Anchorage, or have a trailhead package delivered, in which case we bring the machine to the trail and meet you there. Every trailhead page lists its exact meeting point with a map pin.
