The Old Sterling Highway route runs two-track dirt and rocky trail with a few water crossings. It was built in 1950 to connect Sterling, Soldotna and Cooper Landing to the Seward Highway, then abandoned when the new Sterling Highway went in. Andy calls it some of the most family friendly ATV trail on the Kenai Peninsula, and the riding is straightforward.

We run Old Sterling Hwy / Turn Lake from June 1 to October 1. The trailheads do not operate outside the summer season.
